With the League season for 2016 concluding, FCPK (B) entered into the annual Bohemia Soccer Cup at the German School in Prague. The half-day event was always going to be hard with premier teams such as Bohemians Praha 1905, & FK Viktoria Žižkov competing. The team came away with a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses and finishing in 5th place however they will think of what could have been after letting a 2-0 lead and then 1-0 lead against the two Tempo Praha teams slip to two draws and ultimately decide their fate of being outside the top 3. The Tournament itself was full of quality which the FCPK (B) team matched with their free-flowing, fast, passing football game. The trio of George Sellers, Dylan Monteiro and Frederik Duun the pick of the players with Lorenzo Giordo fantastic in Goal in only his second outing for FCPK. The boys now head into the Christmas break ready for the 2017 season.

Paul Monteiro (Coach): The boys were asked to play football and they didn’t disappoint. We tell them they are only as good as their last game and every single one can take a well-deserved break knowing they are good enough to match some of the big clubs in the Czech Republic for skill, pace and importantly playing a passing game of football which we encourage. Ultimately the ability to finish when in front of goal is something we know we need to work on all the boys before the new league season as we missed several chances to win or extend leads. We also need to work on their mental ability when lining up against some of the bigger clubs like Bohemians and Viktoria but this will come. A great day of football.
